About Us
First run in 1991, the Bright Rod Run has become one of the premier motoring events in Australia. In 2013 the Bright Rod & Kustom Club began running the event to include all vehicle whose model began manufacture prior to or during 1977.
The weekend focuses on car enthusiasts from across Australia, attracting the owners and lovers of many and varied automobiles along with their families. It is action packed with something for everyone. There is a Show N Shine, Street Cruising, a Poker Run, Live music every day, trade stalls, and markets on the Sunday.
The Bright Rod & Kustom Club (a not for profit incorporated club) run the event with the support of local community groups, local businesses and the ‘Alpine Shire’ with the proceeds from this event being reinvested into our community through selected charities and bursary grants.
Who are we?
The Bright Rod Run is proudly hosted by the Bright Rod & Kustom Club Inc. We are a ‘not for profit’ organisation and enjoy the support of our local community, sporting and service clubs, local car clubs, special interest groups, local businesses, and the Alpine Shire.
All proceeds are reinvested into our community through our Alpine Bursary Grant Scheme, contributions to sporting groups, special interest groups as well as contributing to essential services and other community interest projects.
